MAKE A SPLASH! MAKE WAVES AT YOUR LIBRARY: SUMMER READING
Kids entering grades K - 9 are all invited to sign up for the library's summer reading program, starting Saturday, June 19th. You can read any books you like (no reading requirements!), and all the books you list also count for the Governor's Summer Reading Challenge. So come on in, get started, and start earning some cool prizes at the library this summer!
What you can earn:
for 3 books, a voucher for a free all-day ride pass to
Quassy Amusement Park
for 5 books, a voucher for a free Rock Cats game
for 8 books, an offer for a free book from Barnes & Noble
for 10 books, a free kids meal at Appleby (through age 10);
a free book offer from Borders (through age 12);
a voucher for a game ticket to see the Connecticut Sun (women's
basketball) at the Mohegan Sun Casino; and an offer from TD bank
for $10 in a new or existing account.
For 15 books, a chance to win a free family pass to a kids event
at the Jorgensen Auditorium
The summer reading program is free and open to Tolland residents!
It runs all summer long, from June 19th to Sept. 4th.
Come in any time to sign up.
Kids are also welcome to drop in on Tuesday mornings for the
Summer Reading Club, starting June 29th at 10:15 AM;
readers are invited to talk about what they are reading, and
Mrs. B will also share part of a current favorite, followed by suggestions
on what kids might enjoy reading next. For grades K - 5 (no sign-up required).
