April Vacation Programs

Connecticut author Heidi Schlatter and illustrator
Heidi Patten came to Tolland Library on
Thursday, April 15th. l
Both Heidis told us all about their
moving new book, "Merlin: The Cat
Who Thought He Wasn't," about an
adopted cat who thinks he is a dog. The story
was followed by a cat craft, which everyone got
to take home. Heidi S. hopes to do a 2nd book
about her other cat, Pudge.

Thesesa, a graduate student from UConn,
presented a lyrical (and musical!) reading of "Opera Cat"
on Saturday, April 17th. Talented and pretty Theresa
brought a whole new dimension to the picture book
with her singing, and taught the audience some opera
fundamentals! (with an emphasis on fun! ) and a good
time was had by all with the craft and
glitter pens Theresa supplied).
