Books for Birch Grove Reading Challenge

Families looking for books for the Birch Grove reading challenge
"Readers Hall of Fame" need look no further than the children's
department of Tolland Public Library to find the books they
need.

A display of Caldecott award winners has been set up; in
addition the library has a large children's poetry section (J811),
and many nonfiction selections in the Just Right Book leveled
reading section for grades K to 2.  The Caldecott books are
shown below:

New at the Library: E-books for Kids

TumbleBookLibrary, a collection of animated, talking picture books, is now available from Tolland Public Library, through a generous gift from the Tolland Public Library Foundation.  TumbleBooks are created from existing picture books and adding animation, sound, music, and narration to produce an electronic book which you can read, or have read to you.  Tumble Books are designed to teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love.  You can access this new resource on any computer in the library, and through a link on the library webpage: www.tolland.org/library.
