Preschool Reading and Play Area

Now that the library has moved into the newly created space in the Hicks Building, families are invited in to take a look at the preschool room on the first floor:

All our Marshall Anderson books, Awe computer, and some toys are there for your enjoyment.  It's a great, light-filled spot to read and play together.  

Halloween Fun at the Library This Week

Tolland Public Library is offering the following children's programs the week of October 24th:

TRICK-OR-TREAT PRESCHOOL STORYTIMES:
Halloween storytimes for ages 2 – 6, with seasonal stories and a quick craft followed by a “Trick-or-Treat” parade in the library, will be offered at the Library on:
Wednesday, October 26th, at 10:30 – 11:15 AM, and on
Thursday, October 27th, at 1:30 – 2:15 PM

A FAMILY SPOOKY TALES STORYTIME for ages 5 and up will be held at the library on:  Thursday, October 27th, from 6:30 – 7:00 PM.  Mildly spooky (but not too scary) stories will be featured. No sign up is required; children are welcome to come in costume.
These programs are free and open to the public but registration is requested for the Trick-or-Treat Storytimes.

Fall Storytimes

Fall children’s storytimes at Tolland Public Library will continue through December, and will be held in Conference Room A.  Parents and caregivers may sign up now for:

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten: Library/Family Resource Center cooperative story/playgroup for ages 2 to 5, Tuesdays at 10:15 – 11:15.
Preschool Storytime, for ages 3 to 5, will be held on Wednesdays, from 10:15 – 11 a.m.
Books & Babies,  for ages 6 months to 20 months old with parent or caregiver, will be held on Wednesdays from 11:15 – 11:45 a.m.
Toddler Time, for ages 21 to 36 months old with parent or caregiver, will be held on Thursday mornings from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.
